Loves me some cheeseburger. Cow poop, not so much.

As you know, earlier this summer I took my third trip down to Manchester, Tenn., for Bonnaroo 2008, where I saw and did and heard and enjoyed many, many things. Again.

And while I was there, it was hot. Not just it's a lovely day for a dip hot. Not even fried eggs on the sidewalk hot. But oh my zomg I can feel my skin melting from my bones and things are popping in my brain hot.

Luckily, Bonnaroo also features this amazing little thing called the Bonnaroo Cinema Tent. And the best thing about the cinema tent isn't the cinema part. It's the fact that the tent is air conditioned.

And at Bonnaroo, where you sleep in tents your car, and the oppressive heat wakes you every morning when the sun rises and you don't shower for five days, air conditioning is a rare and wonderful gift.

So one day, B and I decided to take a brief respite from the sun inside the cool, dark cinema tent. And while we collapsed into two white folding chairs amidst the sea of dirty napping bodies, a continuous stream of environmental films by Live Earth's SOS played on the screen. Including this little ditty:

And I was all OH.MY.GAH. And B was all woman, can't you see I'm trying to nap? And I was all I am NEVER eating meat again. EVER. And B was all I'm still sleeping. And I was all EVER. But then I thought about how much I love me some cheeseburger. And then I was all okay maybe meat just once or twice a week.

And since then, I haven't been able to afford meat I've stayed true to my promise to myself in my own little attempt to cut greenhouse gases, and I've drastically cut my meat consumption. Now these days, a nice, juicy burger from the grill is a real treat. In fact, it's been quite a while since I've had much meat at all.

So on summer nights such as tonight, when a good burger and some corn on the cob is just necessary, the only one with the gas problem is me.
