I also used to get Es in handwriting

Yellaphant hasn't ever been graded on anything. So really, I have no idea if this blog makes sense to anyone besides myself and the friends and family I bully into reading it because I give them daily quizzes on what I wrote about that day and by the way, I can totally tell when you people are skipping because my stats tell me so and every day that you do you lose one percentage point of my love and some of you better be careful because you're slipping into the danger zone.

But yesterday that all changed when Jen Miller a.k.a. Jersey Shore Jen a.k.a mah South Jersey blogging, mongrels of questionable origins loving, beach bum book writing girl bestowed on Yellaphant the awesome E for Excellence Award. Not the loving you people less part, that hasn't changed. Just the never been graded part.

As part of the deal, I will now present 10 other excellent blogs with the E for Excellence award. Because they are excellent.

Schmitten Kitten
The Poverty Jet Set
Lew and Pat Politics
Jimmy CraicHead TV
The Underdevelopment Podcast
Head Heart + Hips
Philadelphia Daily Photo
Ginger Black
Philly Bits
Avitable
The Bloggess
i am bossy

Yes, I know that's more than 10 blogs. It's 12, okay? I can count. Because if there's one skill I don't have, it's decisiveness. And that is it. I have everything else. Except maybe certain ninja skills.

But once I started thinking about blogs that I love, I couldn't stop. And of the blogs in that list, there's some bloggers that I think are gonna be all alright! E for Excellence! I ROCK! like I was, and some who are gonna be all who is this girl and why is she stalking me? So I had to give out some extras, just DEAL WITH IT.

Why I'm quite flattered Bridget! Sometimes it's hard for me to even get my family to check in to my video blog, but I do it for the love of it and others like yours. Looking forward to new posts about your dog.

One of the things we discussed at blogher Boston was not checking our stats several times a day or even most days of the week. It is a hard habit to break, but break it you must if you're going for the higher good of blogging and not giving a rat's arse about whether you're being read. Not! I want to be read but I have stop becoming a stat junkie.
I've found it easier to attract strangers to my blog than family and that's okay 'cause I can write about them in nasty ways because they don't read me.
Glad to have found your blog.
